Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

The Prophet ﷺ used to present himself to the people at the pilgrimage stations, saying, "Is there any man who will carry me to his people, for the Quraysh have prevented me from conveying the words of my Lord ?"A man from Hamdan came to him, and the Prophet ﷺ asked, "Who are you from?"The man replied, "From Hamdan."He asked, "Do your people have the strength to protect you?"The man answered, "Yes."Then the man feared that his people might reject what he had committed to, so he came back to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Let me go to them and inform them, then I will come to you next year."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Yes."So the man departed, and the delegation of the Ansar came in Rajab.

عن جابر بن عبد الله قال

كان النبي ﷺ يعرض نفسه على الناس بالموقف فيقول هل من رجل يحملني إلى قومه فإن قريشا قد منعوني أن أبلغ كلام ربي عز وجل فأتاه رجل من همدان فقال ممن أنت فقال الرجل من همدان قال فهل عند قومك من منعة قال نعم ثم إن الرجل خشي أن يحقره قومه فأتى رسول الله ﷺ فقال آتيهم فأخبرهم ثم آتيك من عام قابل قال نعم فانطلق وجاء وفد الأنصار في رجب
