I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Between a man and polytheism, or disbelief, lies the abandonment of prayer."
حدثنا سريج حدثنا ابن أبي الزناد عن موسى بن عقبة عن أبي الزبير
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول بين الرجل وبين الشرك أو الكفر ترك الصلاة
Its isnad is sahih. Musa bin Uqba is trustworthy and a jurist, and his hadith is found in the collections of all six major scholars. Ibn Abu Zinad is Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah bin Zakwan, the son of the well-known imam. He was deemed trustworthy, and he has a narration in Muslim. The hadith has already appeared at 14919.
