I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, when the companions of Uhud were mentioned, "By Allah, I wish I had been left behind with the companions of the foot of the mountain," meaning the base of the mountain.
حدثنا يعقوب حدثنا أبي عن ابن إسحاق حدثني عاصم بن عمر بن قتادة عن عبد الرحمن بن جابر بن عبد الله
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إذا ذكر أصحاب أحد أما والله لوددت أني غودرت مع أصحاب نحص الجبل يعني سفح الجبل
