The two of them entered upon Jabir bin Abdullah al-Salami while he was praying wrapped in a single garment, with his cloak hanging on the wall of his mosque. He completed his prayer and then turned to us and said, "I prayed that way only so that you would see me. I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying like this."
حدثنا يعقوب قال وسمعته يذكر يعني أباه عن محمد بن عكرمة عن عبد الله بن عكرمة عن إبراهيم بن عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن أبي ربيعة
أنهما دخلا على جابر بن عبد الله السلمي وهو يصلي ملتحفا ورداؤه على جدر مسجده فصلى ثم انصرف إلينا فقال لنا إنما صليت لترياني إني رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يصلي هكذا
Its isnad is sahih. Ibrahim bin Abdul-Rahman is the son of Abdullah bin Abu Rabia, and here he narrates from his father. They have deemed him trustworthy, and his father is also trustworthy. The hadith has already appeared at 14455.
