I went to Jabir bin Abdullah and said, "Tell me a hadith you witnessed from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."He said, "My father died leaving a debt of twenty wasqs of dates upon him. We had different kinds of dates, but the Ajwah variety alone could not cover what we owed. So I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned this to him. He sent for my creditor, but he refused to take anything except the Ajwah dates entirely. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Go and give him.'So I went off to a small palm-shelter we had, my wife and I, and we picked our dates. We had a goat that we used to feed scraps of dried dates, and she had grown fat. Then two men came toward us, and they turned out to be the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Umar.I said, 'Welcome, Messenger of Allah. Welcome, Umar.'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'Jabir, come along with us so we may walk through these palms of yours.'I said, 'Yes.'So we walked among them, and I gave orders for the goat to be slaughtered. Then we brought a cushion, and the Prophet ﷺ reclined on a cushion of hair stuffed with palm fiber. As for Umar, I could not find a cushion for him. Then we brought a small table with fresh dates, dried dates, and meat on it, and we placed it before the Prophet ﷺ and Umar, and they ate. I was a man of bashful disposition. When the Prophet ﷺ was about to rise, my wife said, 'Messenger of Allah, give us some prayers.'He said, 'Yes, may Allah bless you all. Yes, may Allah bless you all.'Then afterward I sent for my creditors, and they came with donkeys and sacks. I had resolved within myself to buy more Ajwah dates for them so I could pay them in full the Ajwah owed by my father. By Him in whose hand my soul rests, I paid them twenty wasqs of Ajwah, and a fine surplus remained.I went to the Prophet ﷺ to give him the good news of what Allah had brought me. When I told him, he said, 'O Allah, to You be praise. O Allah, to You be praise.'Then he said to Umar, 'Jabir has paid his creditor in full,' and Umar began to praise Allah."

Its isnad is sahih. Abu Mutawakkil Naji is Ali bin Dawud, and Abu Aqeel is Dawraqi, whose name is Bashir bin Uqbah, and both of them are trustworthy. The hadith about the death of Jabir's father has already appeared at 14229 along with its cross-references, and the beginning of Jabir's Musnad has likewise already appeared, concerning the miracle of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in settling Jabir's debts.
