Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would stand and deliver a sermon, praising Allah and extolling Him as He deserves, then say, "Whoever Allah guides, none can lead astray, and whoever He leads astray, none can guide. The best of speech is the Book of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad ﷺ. The worst of matters are those newly invented, and every newly invented matter is an innovation."Whenever he mentioned the Hour, his cheeks would redden, his voice would rise, and his anger would intensify, as though he were warning of an army about to attack, saying, "It will come upon you in the morning or in the evening.""Whoever leaves behind wealth, it belongs to his heirs, and whoever leaves behind dependents or debt, then it is upon me and to me, for I am the guardian of the believers."
