Abu Madhkur freed a slave of his named Yaqub al-Qibti through a deferred manumission arrangement (Dabar Fabalagh). Word of this reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he asked, "Does he have any wealth besides this slave?"The people replied, "No."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Who will buy him from me?"Naeem bin Naham, the brother-in-law of Umar bin Khattab, bought him for eight hundred. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Spend it on yourself. If anything is left over, then on your family. If anything is left over, then on your relatives. If anything is left over, then here and here and here."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا سفيان عن أبي الزبير
أعتق أبو مذكور غلاما له يقال له يعقوب القبطى عن دبر فبلغ ذلك النبي ﷺ فقال أله مال غيره قالوا لا قال من يشتريه مني فاشتراه نعيم بن النحام ختن عمر بن الخطاب بثمان مائة فقال النبي ﷺ أنفقها على نفسك فإن كان فضل فعلى أهلك فإن كان فضل فعلى أقاربك فإن كان فضل فهاهنا وهاهنا وهاهنا
