The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was preparing an army one night until half the night had passed, or close to it. Then he came out and said, "The people have already prayed and gone to sleep, while you have been waiting for this prayer. Know that you remain in a state of prayer for as long as you await it."
حدثنا أبو الجواب حدثنا عمار بن رزيق عن الأعمش عن أبي سفيان
جهز رسول الله ﷺ جيشا ليلة حتى ذهب نصف الليل أو بلغ ذلك ثم خرج فقال قد صلى الناس ورقدوا وأنتم تنتظرون هذه الصلاة أما إنكم لن تزالوا في صلاة ما انتظرتموها
