A man died leaving behind a slave whose freedom had been promised after his master's death (a mudabbar) and also leaving behind a debt. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered them to sell the slave to settle his debt, and they sold him for eight hundred.
حدثنا الفضل بن دكين حدثنا شريك عن سلمة يعني ابن كهيل عن عطاء وأبي الزبير
أن رجلا مات وترك مدبرا ودينا فأمرهم رسول الله ﷺ أن يبيعوه في دينه فباعوه بثمان مائة
