We were overcome by thirst, so we hurried in distress to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He placed his hand in a vessel of water that was before him, and water began to gush out from between his fingers as though they were springs.Amr and Husayn both reported that he said, "Take, in the name of Allah." So we drank our fill and had enough.He said to Jabir, "How many were you?"Jabir replied, "We were one thousand five hundred. And had we been a hundred thousand, it would have sufficed us."

أصابنا عطش فجهشنا إلى رسول الله ﷺ قال فوضع يده في تور من ماء بين يديه فجعل يثور من خلال أصابعه كأنها عيون وقال عمرو وحصين كلاهما قال خذوا بسم الله حتى وسعنا وكفانا وقال لجابر كم كنتم قال كنا ألفا وخمس مائة ولو كنا مائة ألف لكفانا
