A man said on the day of the Conquest, "Messenger of Allah, I made a vow that if Allah granted you victory over Mecca, I would pray in Bayt al-Maqdis."He replied, "Pray here."The man asked him again, and he said, "Pray here."The man asked him once more, and he said, "Then it is up to you."

Its isnad is sahih. Abu Dawud narrated the hadith, 3/236, no. 3305, in Oaths and Vows, "One who vows to pray at Bayt al-Maqdis," and Darimi, 2/241, no. 2339, in Vows, similarly. Hakim graded it sahih, 4/304, and Dhahabi remained silent on it, as did Bayhaqi, 10/82.
