The Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived on the fourth day of Dhul-Hijjah. After we had performed tawaf around the Kaaba and walked between Safa and Marwa, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Make it an Amra, except for those who have brought their sacrificial animals."When the Day of Tarwiyah came, they entered ihram for Hajj. Then on the Day of Sacrifice, they performed tawaf but did not walk between Safa and Marwa.
حدثنا عفان حدثنا حماد أخبرنا قيس بن سعد عن عطاء
قدم رسول الله ﷺ لأربع خلون من ذي الحجة فلما طفنا بالبيت وبين الصفا والمروة قال رسول الله ﷺ اجعلوها عمرة إلا من كان معه الهدي فلما كان يوم التروية أهلوا بالحج فلما كان يوم النحر طافوا ولم يطوفوا بين الصفا والمروة
