Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

We were traveling with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when the time for prayer arrived. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Is there anyone among the people who has water for purification?"A man came forward with a small amount of water in a vessel and poured it into a bowl. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution from it. Then the people approached what remained of the water and began saying, "Wipe with it, wipe with it."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard them and said, "Wait a moment."He placed his hand into the bowl, into the water itself, and said, "Perform the ablution thoroughly and completely."Jabir bin Abdullah said, "By the One who took away my sight," and his sight had indeed gone, "I saw the water flowing out from between the fingers of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he did not lift his hand until all of them had performed ablution."Aswad said, "I think he said we were two hundred or more."

حدثنا عبيدة حدثني الأسود بن قيس عن نبيح العنزي

عن جابر بن عبد الله قال

سافرنا مع رسول الله ﷺ قال فحضرت الصلاة قال فقال رسول الله ﷺ إن في القوم من طهور قال فجاء رجل بفضلة في إداوة قال فصبه في قدح قال فتوضأ رسول الله ﷺ ثم إن القوم أتوا بقية الطهور فقالوا تمسحوا تمسحوا قال فسمعهم رسول الله ﷺ فقال على رسلكم قال فضرب رسول الله ﷺ يده في القدح في جوف الماء قال ثم قال أسبغوا الوضوء الطهور قال فقال جابر بن عبد الله والذي أذهب بصري قال وكان قد ذهب بصره لقد رأيت الماء يخرج من بين أصابع رسول الله ﷺ فلم يرفع يده حتى توضئوا أجمعون قال الأسود حسبته قال كنا مائتين أو زيادة
