The Prophet ﷺ came to visit him at Makkah while he was ill, and he said, "I have only one daughter. Shall I bequeath all my wealth?"The Prophet ﷺ said, "No."He asked, "Then shall I bequeath half of it?"The Prophet ﷺ said, "No."He asked, "Then shall I bequeath a third?"He replied, "A third, and a third is a great deal."Abdul-Samad said "much," meaning, "and a third is much."
حدثنا بهز حدثنا همام حدثنا قتادة عن أبي غلاب عن محمد بن سعد بن مالك عن أبيه أن النبي ﷺ دخل عليه فذكر مثله وقال عبد الصمد كثير يعني والثلث
