I prayed the Eid al-Adha prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When he finished, a ram was brought to him and he slaughtered it, saying, "In the name of Allah, and Allah is the greatest. O Allah, this is on behalf of me and on behalf of those of my community who did not offer a sacrifice."

صليت مع رسول الله ﷺ عيد الأضحى فلما انصرف أتى بكبش فذبحه فقال بسم الله والله أكبر اللهم إن هذا عني وعمن لم يضح من أمتي
