The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me on an errand while he was on his way to the tribe of Banu al-Mustaliq. I came to him and found him praying on his camel. I spoke to him, and he gestured with his hand like this. Zuhayr demonstrated with his palm. Then I spoke to him again, and he gestured with his hand like this. I could hear him reciting and nodding his head. When he finished, he said, "What did you do about the matter I sent you for? Nothing prevented me from answering you except that I was praying."
حدثنا حسن حدثنا زهير عن أبي الزبير
أرسلني رسول الله ﷺ وهو منطلق إلى بني المصطلق فأتيته وهو يصلي على بعيره فكلمته فقال بيده هكذا وأشار زهير بكفه ثم كلمته فقال بيده هكذا وأنا أسمعه يقرأ ويومئ برأسه فلما فرغ قال ما فعلت في الذي أرسلتك له فإنه لم يمنعني أن أكلمك إلا أني كنت أصلي
