The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever revives dead land, it belongs to him, and whatever the seekers consume from it counts as charity on his behalf."A man asked, "Abu Mundhir," (Abu Abdul-Rahman explained that Abu Mundhir is Hisham bin Urwa) "what are the seekers?"He replied, "Whatever creature seeks it out."
