Ali went out with the Prophet ﷺ until they reached Thaniyyat al-Wada, and Ali was weeping, saying, "Are you leaving me behind with those who stay with the women?"The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Are you not pleased that you should be to me as Harun was to Musa, except that there is no prophet after me?"

أن عليا خرج مع النبي ﷺ حتى جاء ثنية الوداع وعلي يبكي يقول تخلفني مع الخوالف فقال أوما ترضى أن تكون مني بمنزلة هارون من موسى إلا النبوة
Its isnad is sahih. Sulayman bin Bilal al-Madani is trustworthy and narrated many hadiths. Humayd bin Abdul-Rahman bin Aws al-Madani is trustworthy, deemed so by Ibn Main, Nasai, and others, and Bukhari gave him a biographical entry in al-Kabir 1/2/239. His name is also given as Jaad, with takbir, and he will appear later at 1474 under the name Jaad bin Aws.Ayesha bint Saad bin Abu Waqqas was a trustworthy Madani follower of the companions (tabiiyah), and Malik did not narrate from any woman other than her.This hadith was narrated by Bukhari 7:60 in abridged form from Ibrahim bin Saad, from his father, and was narrated by Muslim 2:226–227 and Tirmidhi 4:229–230, 331, both in abridged and expanded forms, from Amir bin Saad from his father, and also from Saeed bin Musayab from Saad.
