We used to pray the Zuhr prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I would take a handful of pebbles in my hand and transfer them to my other hand to let them cool, then prostrate on them because of the intense heat.Abdullah said, "In my father's book it was recorded as 'from Saeed, from Abu Saeed Khudri,' but my father struck it out because it was a mistake. It is actually Saeed bin Harith. Ibn Bishr made the error."

كنا نصلي مع رسول الله ﷺ صلاة الظهر فآخذ بيدي قبضة من حصى فأجعلها في يدي الأخرى حتى تبرد ثم أسجد عليها من شدة الحر قال عبد الله وكان في كتاب أبي عن سعيد عن أبي سعيد الخدري فضرب أبي عليه لأنه خطأ وإنما هو سعيد بن الحارث أخطأ ابن بشر
