The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in prayer on the Day of Sacrifice in Medina. Two men stepped forward and slaughtered their animals, thinking that the Prophet ﷺ had already slaughtered. So the Prophet ﷺ ordered anyone who had slaughtered before him to repeat the sacrifice with another animal, and said, "Do not slaughter until the Prophet ﷺ has slaughtered."
حدثنا محمد بن بكر أخبرنا ابن جريج أخبرني أبو الزبير أنه سمع
صلى بنا رسول الله ﷺ يوم النحر بالمدينة فتقدم رجلان فنحروا وظنوا أن النبي ﷺ قد نحر فأمر النبي ﷺ من كان نحر قبله أن يعيد بنحر آخر ولا تنحروا حتى ينحر النبي ﷺ
