Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

Muaz used to pray with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and then return and lead us in prayer. On one occasion he said, then he would return and lead his people in prayer. One night the Prophet ﷺ delayed the prayer (and on one occasion he said, the Isha prayer). Muaz prayed with the Prophet ﷺ, then came to his people and recited Surah al-Baqarah. A man from the group withdrew and prayed on his own.It was said to him, "Have you become a hypocrite, so-and-so?"He replied, "I have not become a hypocrite."He then went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Muaz prays with you and then comes back and leads us in prayer. Messenger of Allah, we are people who work with watering camels and labor with our own hands. He came to lead us and recited Surah al-Baqarah."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Muaz, are you a cause of trial? Are you a cause of trial? Recite such-and-such and such-and-such."Abu Zubayr said, "With Sabbih isma rabbika al-ala and Wal-layli idha yaghsha."We mentioned this to Amr, and he said, "I think he did mention it."
