The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Have you married?"I replied, "Yes."He asked, "A virgin or a previously married woman?"I said, "A previously married woman."He said, "Why not a virgin, so you could play with her and she could play with you?"I said, "Messenger of Allah, my father was killed at the Battle of Uhud and left behind seven daughters. I disliked the idea of bringing home to them an inexperienced girl like themselves, so I chose a woman who could comb their hair and look after them."He said, "You have done the right thing."

Its isnad is sahih, it has preceded many times, see 14171. One might think that this Amr is Amr bin Jabir, but he is actually Amr bin Dinar, because Sufyan bin Uyayna did not narrate from Amr bin Jabir Hadrami.
