The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been given five things that no one before me was given. I have been sent to the red and the black, whereas a prophet before me was sent only to his own people, but I have been sent to all people. The spoils of war have been made lawful for me, though they were not lawful for anyone before me. I have been aided with awe striking my enemies from a month's distance away. The earth has been made for me a place of purification and a place of prayer, so whenever the time of prayer comes upon a man, let him pray wherever he is."
حدثنا هشيم أخبرنا سيار عن يزيد الفقير
قال رسول الله ﷺ أعطيت خمسا لم يعطهن أحد قبلي بعثت إلى الأحمر والأسود وكان النبي إنما يبعث إلى قومه خاصة وبعثت إلى الناس عامة وأحلت لي الغنائم ولم تحل لأحد قبلي ونصرت بالرعب من مسيرة شهر وجعلت لي الأرض طهورا ومسجدا فأيما رجل أدركته الصلاة فليصل حيث أدركته
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Bukhari related the hadith in 1/119 in the chapter on prayer, on the saying of the Prophet ﷺ, "The earth has been made a masjid for me." And Muslim related it in the beginning of the chapter on masjids. It is found with all the major scholars, and no sahih or musnad collection is without it.
