Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey, and he bought a camel from me but allowed me to ride it until I reached Madinah. When I arrived, I brought the camel to him and handed it over, and he ordered the payment to be given to me. Then I left.Suddenly, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ caught up with me. I said to myself, "He must have changed his mind."When I came to him, he handed the camel back to me and said, "It is yours."I then passed by a Jewish man and told him what had happened. He was amazed and asked, "He bought the camel from you, paid you its price, and then gave it back to you as a gift?"I replied, "Yes."

حدثنا هشيم أخبرنا سيار عن أبي هبيرة

عن جابر بن عبد الله قال

كنا مع رسول الله ﷺ في سفر فاشترى مني بعيرا فجعل لي ظهره حتى أقدم المدينة فلما قدمت أتيته بالبعير فدفعته إليه وأمر لي بالثمن ثم انصرفت فإذا رسول الله ﷺ قد لحقني قال قلت قد بدا له قال فلما أتيته دفع إلي البعير وقال هو لك فمررت برجل من اليهود فأخبرته قال فجعل يعجب قال فقال اشترى منك البعير ودفع إليك الثمن ووهبه لك قال قلت نعم
