This was mentioned to Jabir bin Abdullah, who said, "The hadith comes back to me. We performed the lesser pilgrimage first and then the hajj together with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ"
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة وحجاج قال حدثنا شعبة قال سمعت قتادة يحدث عن أبي نضرة قال حجاج في حديثه
فذكر ذلك لجابر بن عبد الله فقال على يدي دار الحديث تمتعنا مع رسول الله ﷺ
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Nadra is Abdi al-Mundhir bin Malik. But this ruling has been abrogated, as the people of the sunnah and the community have held. The hadith is found in Ibn Abu Shayba 14/97, no. 17702, in Awail, and in Bayhaqi 7/155.
