Jabir was asked about the shroud, and he reported that the Prophet ﷺ gave a sermon one day in which he mentioned a man who had died and been shrouded in an inadequate shroud, and he said something similar.

سئل جابر عن الكفن فأخبر أن النبي ﷺ خطب يوما فذكر رجلا قبض وكفن في كفن غير طائل فذكر مثله
