The Prophet ﷺ said, "None of you should make his brother get up from his place on Friday and then take that seat for himself. Rather, let him say, 'Make room.'"
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا ابن جريج قال سليمان بن موسى
أن النبي ﷺ قال لا يقيم أحدكم أخاه يوم الجمعة ثم يخالفه إلى مقعده ولكن ليقل افسحوا
Its isnad is sahih. Sulayman bin Musa is al-Ashdaq, the jurist, there is some looseness in him but they considered him reliable. The hadith was mentioned earlier at 371, and it appears in Bukhari 8/175, in the book of seeking permission, chapter titled "A man should not make another man get up from his seat," and in Muslim 4/1715, number 2178, in the book of greetings, chapter titled "The prohibition of making a person get up from his place."
