Aqeel bin Maqil reported,

I went to Ibrahim bin Aqeel, who was a difficult man to reach and hard to gain access to. I waited at his door in Yemen for a day or two until I finally got in to see him, and he narrated two hadith to me. He had with him the hadith of Wahb from Jabir, but I was unable to hear them from him because of how difficult he was. Ismail bin Abdul-Kareem did not narrate them to us either, since Ibrahim was still alive. So I never heard them from anyone else.

حدثنا عقيل بن معقل هو أبو إبراهيم بن عقيل قال

ذهبت إلى إبراهيم بن عقيل وكان عسرا لا يوصل إليه فأقمت على بابه باليمن يوما أو يومين حتى وصلت إليه فحدثني بحديثين وكان عنده أحاديث وهب عن جابر فلم أقدر أن أسمعها من عسره ولم يحدثنا بها إسماعيل بن عبد الكريم لأنه كان حيا أفلم أسمعها من أحد آخر
