The Prophet ﷺ led us in the prayer on the Day of Sacrifice in Medina. Some men went ahead and slaughtered their animals, thinking that the Prophet ﷺ had already done so. He then commanded those who had slaughtered before him to repeat the sacrifice with another animal, and not to slaughter until the Prophet ﷺ had slaughtered.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا ابن جريج أخبرني أبو الزبير أنه سمع
صلى النبي ﷺ بنا يوم النحر بالمدينة فتقدم رجال فنحروا وظنوا أن النبي ﷺ قد نحر فأمر من كان قد نحر قبله أن يعيد بنحر آخر ولا ولينحر حتى ينحر النبي ﷺ
