The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman used to begin the recitation after the opening takbir with "All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds" [Fatihah 1:2] in the prayer.Affan said, meaning in the prayer, after the takbir.
حدثنا بهز وحدثنا عفان قالا حدثنا همام حدثنا قتادة
أن رسول الله ﷺ وأبا بكر وعمر وعثمان كانوا يستفتحون القراءة بعد التكبير ب {الحمد لله رب العالمين} في الصلاة قال عفان يعني في الصلاة بعد التكبير
