A group of people from the tribe of Urayna came to Madinah, but they found its climate unhealthy. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent them out with the camels of charity and said, "Drink their milk and their urine."But they killed the shepherd of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, drove off the camels, and renounced Islam. They were brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who cut off their hands and feet on opposite sides, branded their eyes, and left them at al-Harrah.Anas said, "I saw one of them biting the ground with his mouth until they died." And sometimes Hammad would say, "biting the ground with his mouth until they died."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا حماد أخبرنا قتادة
أن ناسا من عرينة قدموا المدينة فاجتووها فبعث بهم رسول الله ﷺ في إبل الصدقة وقال اشربوا من ألبانها وأبوالها فقتلوا راعي رسول الله ﷺ واستاقوا الإبل وارتدوا عن الإسلام فأتي بهم رسول الله ﷺ فقطع أيديهم وأرجلهم من خلاف وسمر أعينهم وألقاهم بالحرة قال أنس قد كنت أرى أحدهم يكدم الأرض بفيه حتى ماتوا وربما قال حماد يكدم الأرض بفيه حتى ماتوا
