My father said, and Yahya bin Saeed also narrated to us from Shuba, who said, Qatada narrated to us from Anas, with the same meaning, that the companions of the Prophet ﷺ said to the Prophet ﷺ, "The People of the Book greet us with salaam. How should we return their greeting?"He said, "Say, 'And upon you.'"Hajjaj said, Shuba said, "I did not ask Qatada about this hadith, whether he heard it from Anas."
