Anas bin Malik reported,

The Prophet ﷺ was brought a man who had drunk wine, and he had him flogged with about forty lashes. Abu Bakr did the same. When Umar came to power, he consulted the people, and Abdul-Rahman bin Awf said, "The lightest of the prescribed punishments is eighty." So Umar ordered that.Hajjaj said, "Eighty," and Umar ordered that.

عن أنس بن مالك

أن النبي ﷺ أتي برجل قد شرب الخمر فجلده نحو الأربعين وفعله أبو بكر فلما كان عمر استشار الناس فقال عبد الرحمن بن عوف أخف الحدود ثمانون فأمر به عمر رضي الله عنهما وقال حجاج ثمانون وأمر به عمر
