I was riding behind Abu Talha, and Abu Talha was beside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I could see my foot touching the foot of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave them respite until the farmers went out to their fields and the herders went out to their livestock. Then he proclaimed the takbir, launched the raid against them, and said, "When we descend in the courtyard of a people, evil is the morning of those who have been warned."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا سليمان بن المغيرة عن ثابت
إني لرديف أبي طلحة قال وأبو طلحة إلى جنب رسول الله ﷺ قال وإني لأرى قدمي لتمس قدم رسول الله ﷺ قال فأمهلهم رسول الله ﷺ حتى خرج أهل الزرع إلى زروعهم وأهل المواشي إلى مواشيهم قال كبر ثم أغار عليهم ثم قال إنا إذا نزلنا بساحة قوم فساء صباح المنذرين
