Umm Sulaym sent me with a basket of dates, but I did not find the Prophet ﷺ at his home. He was at the house of one of his freed slaves, who had prepared for him tharid, or he said a dish of tharid, with meat and gourd. He invited me and seated me beside him. I noticed that he was fond of the gourd, so I began pushing it toward him.When he finished eating and returned to his home, I placed the basket before him. He began eating from it and distributing the dates until none were left.

بعثت أم سليم معي بمكتل فيه رطب فلم أجد النبي ﷺ في بيته إذ هو عند مولى له قد صنع له ثريدا أو قال ثريدة بلحم وقرع فدعاني فأقعدني معه فرأيته يعجبه القرع فجعلت أدعه قبله فلما تغدى ورجع إلى بيته وضعت المكتل بين يديه فجعل يأكل منه ويقسم حتى أتى على آخره
