The Muslims heard the Prophet of Allah ﷺ calling out during the night, "Abu Jahl bin Hisham! Utba bin Rabia! Shayba bin Rabia! Umaya bin Khalaf! Have you found what your Lord promised you to be true? For I have indeed found what my Lord promised me to be true."The Muslims said, "Messenger of Allah, are you calling out to people who have already become corpses?"He replied, "You do not hear what I say any better than they do, except that they are unable to answer."

سمع المسلمون نبي الله ﷺ ينادي من الليل يا أبا جهل بن هشام ويا عتبة بن ربيعة ويا شيبة بن ربيعة ويا أمية بن خلف هل وجدتم ما وعدكم ربكم حقا فإني قد وجدت ما وعدني ربي حقا قالوا يا رسول الله تنادي أقواما قد جيفوا قال ما أنتم بأسمع لما أقول منهم غير أنهم لا يستطيعون أن يجيبوا
