The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called me and said, "There is in you a likeness of Isa. The Jews hated him so intensely that they slandered his mother, and the Christians loved him so excessively that they raised him to a station that was not his. Indeed, two kinds of men will be ruined concerning me, one who loves me and praises me with what is not in me, and one whose hatred drives him to slander me. I am not a prophet, nor is revelation sent down to me, but I act according to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet ﷺ to the best of my ability. Whatever I command you of obedience to Allah, my obedience in it is binding upon you, whether you like it or dislike it."

دعاني رسول الله ﷺ فقال إن فيك من عيسى مثلا أبغضته يهود حتى بهتوا أمه وأحبته النصارى حتى أنزلوه بالمنزل الذي ليس به ألا وإنه يهلك في اثنان محب يقرظني بما ليس في ومبغض يحمله شنآني على أن يبهتني ألا إني لست بنبي ولا يوحى إلي ولكني أعمل بكتاب الله وسنة نبيه ﷺ ما استطعت فما أمرتكم من طاعة الله فحق عليكم طاعتي فيما أحببتم وكرهتم
