The Prophet ﷺ said to me, "In you there is a likeness of Isa. The Jews hated him until they slandered his mother, and the Christians loved him until they raised him to a station that was not his." Then he said, "Two kinds of men will be ruined concerning me, an excessive admirer who praises me with what is not in me, and a hater whose enmity drives him to slander me."
قال أبو عبد الرحمن حدثني سريج بن يونس أبو الحارث حدثنا أبو حفص الأبار عن الحكم بن عبد الملك عن الحارث بن حصيرة عن أبي صادق عن ربيعة بن ناجذ
قال لي النبي ﷺ فيك مثل من عيسى أبغضته اليهود حتى بهتوا أمه وأحبته النصارى حتى أنزلوه بالمنزلة التي ليس به ثم قال يهلك في رجلان محب مفرط يقرظني بما ليس في ومبغض يحمله شنآني على أن يبهتني
