A beggar came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he ordered that a single date be given to him, but the man rejected it in disgust. Then another beggar came, and he ordered that a date be given to him as well. This man exclaimed, "Glory be to Allah, a date from the Messenger of Allah!"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the Jariya, "Go to Umm Salama and give him the forty dirhams she has."
حدثنا أسود بن عامر حدثنا عمارة بن زاذان عن ثابت
أتى رسول الله ﷺ سائل فأمر له بتمرة فوحش بها ثم جاء سائل آخر فأمر له بتمرة فقال سبحان الله تمرة من رسول الله قال فقال رسول الله ﷺ للجارية اذهبي إلى أم سلمة فأعطيه الأربعين درهما التي عندها
