The Prophet ﷺ used to sacrifice two horned rams of mixed black and white color. He would place his foot on their sides, slaughter them with his own hand, and pronounce the name of Allah and say the takbir.
حدثنا عفان وبهز قالا حدثنا همام حدثنا قتادة
أن النبي ﷺ كان يضحي بكبشين أملحين أقرنين يضع رجله على صفحتيهما ويذبحهما بيده ويسمي ويكبر
