The people kept questioning the Prophet of Allah ﷺ one day until they wore him out with their questions. So he went out, climbed the pulpit, and said, "Do not ask me about anything today without me informing you about it."The companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ grew apprehensive that some grave matter was about to come upon them. The narrator said, "I could not turn right or left without finding every man wrapping his head in his garment, weeping."Then a man who used to be quarreled with and accused of not being his father's son spoke up and said, "Prophet of Allah, who is my father?"He replied, "Your father is Hudhafah."Then Umar stood up, or the narrator said, then Umar spoke up and said, "We are pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion, and with Muhammad as Messenger, seeking refuge in Allah from the evil of trials."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "I have never seen good and evil as I have seen today. Paradise and Hell were pictured for me, and I saw them both right there beyond this wall."
