Anas bin Malik reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "People of the Ansar, did I not come to you when you were astray, and Allah guided you through me? And as enemies, and Allah united your hearts through me?"Then he said to them, "Will you not say, 'You came to us as a fugitive and we sheltered you, fearful and we gave you safety, forsaken and we supported you'?"They replied, "Rather, the favor belongs to Allah and His Messenger."

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال يا معشر الأنصار ألم آتكم ضلالا فهداكم الله بي وأعداء فألف الله عز وجل بين قلوبكم بي ثم قال لهم ألا تقولون أتيتنا طريدا فآويناك وخائفا فأمناك ومخذولا فنصرناك فقالوا بل لله المن علينا ولرسوله
