The Prophet ﷺ said, "When one of you comes to the prayer and it has already begun, let him walk calmly. Let him pray what he catches up with, and make up what he missed."

أن النبي ﷺ قال إذا جاء أحدكم وقد أقيمت الصلاة فليمش على هينته فليصل ما أدرك وليقض ما سبقه
