A group of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were talking among themselves. One of them said, "I will never marry." Another said, "I will pray and never sleep." Another said, "I will fast and never break my fast."When this reached the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "What is the matter with people who say such and such? As for me, I fast and I break my fast, I pray and I sleep, and I marry women. Whoever turns away from my way is not from me."

أن نفرا من أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ قال بعضهم لا أتزوج وقال بعضهم أصلي ولا أنام وقال بعضهم أصوم ولا أفطر فبلغ ذلك النبي ﷺ فقال ما بال أقوام قالوا كذا وكذا لكني أصوم وأفطر وأصلي وأنام وأتزوج النساء فمن رغب عن سنتي فليس مني
