The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the night I was taken on the night journey, I passed by some men whose lips were being cut off with scissors made of fire."He said, "I asked, 'Who are these, Jibreel?'He replied, 'These are preachers from your nation who used to command people to do good while forgetting themselves, even though they recited the Book. Did they not understand?'"
