A man said, "Messenger of Allah, what about a man who loves a people but has not reached their level of deeds?"The Messenger of Allah replied, "A person is with those he loves."The man said, "What about those whose deeds are good?"He said, "A person is with those he loves."Thabit said that whenever Anas would narrate this hadith, he would say, "O Allah, we love You and we love Your Messenger."
حدثنا يونس وحسن بن موسى قالا حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن ثابت البناني
أن رجلا قال يا رسول الله الرجل يحب القوم ولم يبلغ عملهم فقال رسول الله المرء مع من أحب قال حسن أعمالهم قال المرء مع من أحب قال ثابت فكان أنس إذا حدث بهذا الحديث قال اللهم فإنا نحبك ونحب رسولك
