A man invited the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to a meal, and he went, and I went with him. A broth containing gourd was brought, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ began to eat the gourd, enjoying it greatly. When I saw this, I started picking the pieces of gourd and placing them in front of him without eating any myself.Anas said, "From that time on, I have continued to love it."Sulayman said, "I narrated this hadith to Sulayman Taymi, and he said, 'We never visited Anas bin Malik during the season of gourd without finding it in his food.'"

دعا رسول الله ﷺ رجل فانطلق وانطلقت معه قال فجيء بمرقة فيها دباء فجعل رسول الله ﷺ يأكل ذلك الدباء ويعجبه فلما رأيت ذلك جعلت ألقيه إليه ولا أطعم منه شيئا فقال أنس فما زلت أحبه قال سليمان فحدثت بهذا الحديث سليمان التيمي فقال ما أتينا أنس بن مالك قط في زمان الدباء إلا وجدناه في طعامه
