The Prophet ﷺ was asked about al-Kawthar, and he said, "It is a river my Lord has granted me. It is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey, and in it are birds with necks like those of camels."Umar said, "Messenger of Allah, those must be plump birds indeed."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Those who eat them are even more delightful, Umar."
حدثنا أبو سلمة الخزاعي أخبرنا ليث عن يزيد يعني ابن الهاد عن عبد الوهاب بن أبي بكر عن عبد الله بن مسلم عن ابن شهاب
أن النبي ﷺ سئل عن الكوثر فقال نهر أعطانيه ربي أشد بياضا من اللبن وأحلى من العسل وفيه طير كأعناق الجزر فقال عمر يا رسول الله إن تلك لطير ناعمة فقال أكلتها أنعم منها يا عمر
