Abu Talha sent me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to invite him, as he had prepared some food for him. I came and found the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sitting with a group of people. He looked at me, and I felt shy, so I said, "Answer the invitation of Abu Talha."He said to the people, "Get up."Abu Talha said, "Messenger of Allah, I only prepared something for you alone."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ touched the food and invoked Allah's blessing upon it. Then he said, "Bring in ten of my companions."He said to them, "Eat."So they ate until they were satisfied and then left. Then he said, "Bring in another ten." They ate until they were satisfied. He kept bringing in ten and sending out ten until none of them remained except that he had entered and eaten his fill. Then he gathered up what was left, and it was just like it had been before they ate from it.
حدثنا ابن نمير أخبرنا سعيد يعني ابن سعد قال
بعثني أبو طلحة إلى رسول الله ﷺ لأدعوه وقد جعل له طعاما فأقبلت ورسول الله ﷺ مع الناس قال فنظر إلي فاستحييت فقلت أجب أبا طلحة فقال للناس قوموا فقال أبو طلحة يا رسول الله إنما صنعت شيئا لك قال فمسها رسول الله ﷺ ودعا فيها بالبركة ثم قال أدخل نفرا من أصحابي عشرة فقال كلوا فأكلوا حتى شبعوا وخرجوا وقال أدخل عشرة فأكلوا حتى شبعوا فما زال يدخل عشرة ويخرج عشرة حتى لم يبق منهم أحد إلا دخل فأكل حتى شبع ثم هيأها فإذا هي مثلها حين أكلوا منها
Its isnad is sahih. Saeed bin Saad was deemed trustworthy by the scholars, and the hadith has already appeared at 12430.
