Anas bin Malik reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out one day with his head wrapped in a bandage. The Ansar, along with their women and children, came to meet him. When he saw the faces of the Ansar, he said, "By the One in whose hand my soul is, I truly love you."Then he said, "The Ansar have fulfilled their duty, and what remains is your duty toward them. So treat their good-doers well and overlook the faults of those among them who err."

عن أنس

أن رسول الله ﷺ خرج ذات يوم وهو معصوب الرأس قال فتلقاه الأنصار ونساؤهم وأبناؤهم فإذا هو بوجوه الأنصار فقال والذي نفسي بيده إني لأحبكم وقال إن الأنصار قد قضوا ما عليهم وبقي ما عليكم فأحسنوا إلى محسنهم وتجاوزوا عن مسيئهم
